An alternative to wine tours. Chianti is not only a land of vineyards and fine wines: from the Middle Ages the region was contested between Florence and Siena, which fought here for centuries. Today we admire the vestiges of that ancient war in the dozens and dozens of castles, towers, hamlets, fortified villages and abbeys (Badie) that characterize the territories of Radda, Gaiole and Castellina in Chianti.
